how do the single twins work, like sad saad has?

I was just wondering how this works?

Do you use the header off a twin setup like hks and then put the two turbos of your choice on there?

Also what the the size limit? Like can you build the motor and slap twin T88's?

This was just something i have been wondering for a while.

Saad Saad uses a custom manifold. I don't think that you'd want to put T88's on there because they would never spool. Keith Ta uses twin T66's and many think that is way over-kill. I think you could really put whatever turbo you'd want on there as long as it fits because the manifolds are custom made and therefore you can put the flange of whatever turbo you want on there. There is someone else on the forum who uses twin T04X turbo's on his supra. I think XS engineering made the manifold so you might want to check with them.

cool thanks for the answer i was just wondering........ so is it a safe bet to say that if sp63 makes 600hp then two would make 1200?
G
you would not get 1200hp with that setup bc yes the sp63 makes like 600 hp but the engine itself make 220hp so the turbo is only makeing 380 hp, you would get about 980hp if that with that setup. and by the way, greddy used to make a twin intake manifold and that is the one saad saad uses, its not a custom. it is hard to find a fmic, clutch, drivesaft, and fuel system that can withstand that much hp and you lose much of the drivability with a clutch that can hold that much hp so it could not be a daily driver. bye the way, you can spool the t88's but it would take a lot of nos.

Mr. T, in your profile you say you have a bleeder T and a boost controller...I didn't know you can do that.

I have ride on a t78 car and ride on a supra on the twins kit i like the twin kit better it spools faster and, also the supra that has the twin kit with only 627 rwhp made a pass of 10.4 first time at the track ,like i said thats my opinion..

SAAD SAAD is using twin TO4E's not T88's, no you would not be able to spool twin T88, it is not possible with out a huge about of spray like a 500 shot, Dusty at MVP had a T100 on a Supra and could not spool it with a 200 shot I think, and a built motor. The turbo finialy spooled at the 1/4 mile and lit the tires up.

Check out the Dec. 2001 issue of Super Street. They featured a 93 Supra built by Jun to run the Bonneville salt flats. They are running with twin T78 turbos on a custom header. The car ran 249mph!!!!
