I can purchase a old style Apex AFC (the turn knob style) for pretty cheap, but i just wanted to hear peoples expereinces with them, compared to the new model S-AFC.

I have limited acces to a dyno, but i know the car is running super rich from the A/F guage (pegs rich as soon as I go WOT) and by the extreme smell of gas in the exhaust.

Anybody have any good pickups with this unit> If so, what were your mods and did you tune it yourself?

Also would like to hear about te Fields SFC.


Car is 94 with intake, DP, exhaust, MBC (18psi), and FCC.

NEVER tune with an air/fuel gauge, they are pretty much worthless. If you want to tune without a dyno get a wideband. That afc should work just fine. If it was me i would save up a little more money and then i would buy the hks afc it is much much better.
