Is it really important eliminating the pre-cat too? If your using a downpipe that just replaces only the main cat!

Yep, i'm afraid i am, if you wish to keep only one cat, keep teh amin one and remove the pre-cat for most power gains. :)

I just removed mine and with a boost controller i could only get 14.5 psi thats with the controller maxed hks evc.... i removed and turned the controller off to get a baseline and it boosted to 15psi off, so i turned on the controller and made 20psi but turned down..... i had the same setup with the main cat removed but the pre was still on ... made a huge differerence at least 60rwhp.... Kevin... ps get one from www.exhaustdepot.com they got me a stainless for 235 shipped and it works great...
