I JUST bought a Greddy ProfecB and my car is COMPLETELY stock except for a Greddy BOV and a TRD drop in filter.

So can I run the BPU 18psi before I have the DP and exhaust? If not,how much CAN I run?

If you dont have a BCC or FCD then you won't be able to get anything past 1.0 bar (14.7psi). But with that and stock exhaust and stock airfilter without a dp, I was able to get 17-18psi.

So a Greddy Profec B and a BCC nets 18psi? How much power did you lay down? 1/4 mile times?

Actually I didnt dyno or run the car with just those parts. I just know from when I had taken everything off of the car except the ebc and fcd during my smog test, and according to my boost gauge I was still able to hit 17 psi. Now with my dp back in and intake, exhaust and so forth I can hit 17 psi no problem, in fact i can go all the way to 22 no problem (not like I am doing that with crappy 91 octane in Cali). I dynoed at 370 RWHP at just under 17 psi with everything in, and ran a crappy 13.4 @ 114 with just under 17 psi due to poor 60 foot times. I expect with a little practice that I can get 12 second passes with just BPU+.

How bad is it to boost 17-18psi with stock cats and exhaust on the turbos and the engine? Will there be way to much backpressure?

There shouldn't be any problem other than the fact that it is harder to spool up the turbos.
