I've been thinking a lot, and I decided that I want to go wingless. Has anybody done this. What is involved, can I do it myself, bodyshop, ect. Let me know. Thanks.

Any estimate on a price from a bodyshop for that, can an average body shop do it? I am not in a very popular area (South Carolina). I would guess I would probably have to take it to ATL or NC to get a quality job done.

I recently had mine removed when I had my rear end repainted. I also shaved my antennas, and rolled my fenders at the same time. It was very inexpensive, but then again I was already getting paint. Go stop by a local shop, and get a estimate, its the only real way to find out.

rip the black covering off the inside of the boot (be careful not to snap plastic coz they are push lock metal things that hold it in place.
when thats off its just 4 bolts (i think standard wings have 6) take the nuts off and lift the wing off.... careful not to scratch the paint on the top or the hatch with the thread part of the bolts.
takes hmmmm mayb 10 mins so if ur contemplating taking ur wing off for good then its well worthwhile to c what the car looks like
......ur car will look alot lower without the wing also

i went wingless for like a week when the wing was getting repainted for couple scratches. I personally thought it was kinda kewl. Few people thought it looked off the hook. I definatly didnt get as many looks though.

What are these plugs you guys are talking about. I am not familiar with them. Where can I get a hold of them, what do they look like? Anybody have pics?

usually you can just get the plugs at a local hardware store, they are plastic and you just have to get ones that are about the size of your hole, then you take some touch up paint and put it on top of the plugs and you are set, its barely noticable, and its great that its flexible
