Hey guys.

How and what tools do you use to remove and install a front trans seal on an automatic. The fit seems very tight.

Thanks

tranny seals

Hey I did this the other day.

So simple!

Once tranny is removed on REAR seal and you should do it at the same time since ur there! take screw driver and it pops rite out, just like that!

FRONT seal, Remove the cover like 8 or 10 bolts pop out seal with screw driver
and trust me they come rite out! reinsall new seals taping them in gently, but make sure they go in all the way!, on front seal re-apply silicon gasket and bolt back into torque specs

your done once tranny is out it will take you 15 minutes

Greg

After I replaced mine I still had a problem and I ended up taking the trans to a shop to get it fixed. It needed to have the bushing along with the seal replaced. As for the seal.

As for the seal replacement, do as scttboom said, just be careful not to over tighten the bolts when you are putting them back in.
