I need to replace my wheel studs with longer studs, and it doesn't seem like an "on the car" job. I have the rotors off of the front and back wheels.
On the front spindles, there is a nut on the back side (inside) of the wheel assembly under the dust cap. If I spin that off, I should be able to slide hammer the wheel plat off, correct?
On the back I have already removed the nut in the center and slid the drive shaft out and have attempted to slide hammer the wheel plate off, but it isn't budging. I don't want to break anything - is there something else I need to do, or just whack it harder?
Please help....
