I just purchased this kit from HPF and was wondering if anyone else has it as well. I did a search to see what others thought of it but found nothing.

How did the installation go for you? Issues/problems?

I was also wondering if it is absolutely required to take off the front bumper to install??

Anyone with pictures?

thanks!

dont know about this particuliar IC but you have to take of the front bumper. may be able to do it with out removal i guess (never tried) but i imagine it would be much more difficult, and would take longer to do that way.

I got it and it is awsome. The only problem i had was the curved pipe going up to the pipe that connects to the intake but it is very easy other than that. I still managed to put the kit on without takeing the front bumper off to which saved me a ton of time. Another thing is mine didnt come with a blow off valve flange so i had to make my own which was pretty easy but. You can definatly tell the hp gains too.

Still havent figured out how to post pics or i would show you but its tight trust me.

so it is possible to do this without removing the front bumper after all... any other tricks you had to do? I'm still trying to get the damn stock S tube out of there :)

I'd like to see some pics of your install supra8795 if you have some? PM or email :)

I got the greddy BOV flange and it is located in what I thought was an odd spot - on the pipe right above the IC hmmmm..

Absolutely no need to take the bumper or bumper cover off. Some people get hung up on bending the A/C lines. Wasn't a big deal for me once I realized I had to do it. I wasn't real happy about how the fender pipe fit so close to the wiring that runs thru there. I extended the wiring and ran it thru the snorkel port. Pretty straightforward install overall.

Well that about covers it doesn't it :)

Now it would be great to get some pics. There isn't much info on the HPF IC kit out here yet.

I will probably post my pics when complete as well.

Just realized, as I mentioned above that the BOV flange is on the pipe that goes right over the IC. I have a Greddy Type-S, did you guys have to run a recirculation hose all the way to the front of the car somehow?? Or can I just vent to atmosphere and not recirculate and basically have the BOV on the pipe with NO hoses going to it? Help :)

Justin, I know you can vent it to the atmosphere with the greddy but I'm really asking do I have to run ANY vacuum lines to the BOV.

Every post I've read and picture I've seen on venting to atmosphere has at least 1 smaller hose attached to the BOV. But all of these are INSIDE the engine bay on that piping. The HPF IC kit has the BOV flange on the pipe that goes on top of the FMIC inside the front bumper and I've found no information on this anywhere. Or maybe I am confusing the piping looking at it on my kitchen table.

ughhhh I hope that makes sense :)

Best spot for a BOV is closest to the throttle body but thats probably not the answer you're looking for ;)

You'll need at least a vacuum hose running to your bov (that is what actuates it). If you want to recirculate it, you'd have to run the bov vent to a spot before the turbo inlet but after the afm (which unless you got rid of it would be your accordian hose) so the air being "blown off" is returned to the intake stream to be sucked in by the turbo again.

LOL Figgie, yup we discussed venting to atmosphere/SAFC. I also wanted to develop this thread for the HPF IC kit and get people talking about it as well. I guess the confusion to me was the true meaning of venting to atmosphere and if I had to run a hose for that type of setup. As cre3d is saying I'll need at least the vacuum hose that I've seen on every setup, which is what I wanted to confirm. And since I have to do that, it's going to suck running a hose that far to the front of the car. I was hoping I didn't have to run any.

Still would like to see pictures of the setup if anyone would share? thx
