Ok I am installing a new stereo, i have a 5 channel amp running door speakers, rears, and a small sub. If the key is on its fine but if the car is running or in the ignition position then i hear a static in the speakers that I can only thing comes from the fuel pump as its running. If I unplug the rca's the sounds is gone also, so its not the amp. Any ideas?

I've run into this problem putting in car audio systems. Is your amp power wire running along side the rca's? I run my main amp power wire down one side of the car and my remote wire and rca's down the other. Apparently there is interference from the power cable. Is the sound high pitch and whining? or it could be a bad set of rca's.....

does the noise get louder as you accelerate or stay the same? I would say ^^^ the same as 93na and if you did that than change the RCA's. If that doesn't fix the problem it's the amp. good luck
