looking for detailed instrusts on installing a afc with a vpc without a vpc harness..thanks
http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/vpc/vpc.htm

Basically. cut the yellow wire going from teh VPC to ECU pin #66. Connect the VPC side of the yellow wire to the white (input) wire on the AFC. Connect the yellow (output) wire of the AFC to the ECU side of the VPC's yellow wire you just cut.

Regards,
Andi

thank you very much...isnt there a few more wires that are on the afc. do u just tape then up and leave them disconnected...?
No, the rest of the AFC wires you install the normal AFC way......

Just do the white & yellow AFC wires like I said above, and for the other wires, follow the tech article.

You can also hook up the blue wire from the AFC to your 1st oxygen sensor wire (pin #48, OX1, see here. This way you can monitor o2 sensor voltage using the "sensor check" function on the AFC... watch sensor 2. this is called the blue wire mod and is detailed in the mkiv afc tech article I linked to in this post.
