how do i get the most out of my engein for power. i heard if you do something to the timing you can bump up to 400hp.

please reply if anyone knows how to do this.

Well that something is probably gonna be a turbo. You could turbo the stock 5mge engine or swap a 7mgte from a MKIII. If your in Calgary, then your very near Reg Riemer, Supra guru, and seller of 7mgte conversion kits. Here's his site:http://www.supras.com/~riemer/sonic/sonic.htm Or try

Well, I'm not sure what exactly comes with Reg's kit. I think it's just a modifided wire harness and you provide the donor car with the engine etc... Don Culbertson of Nix99 here in Seattle is the only one that I know of that produces a complete 7mgte kit ready to install for $3500. He will even install it for an extra $1800 or so. One guy from AZ, Jay B., drove his car all the way up here to have Don install the kit. Don's page is: Suprafriends.com

You could goto a junk yard and rob a MKIII of it's turbo, manifold, intercooler and IC piping, install it on your stock 5mge all for about $1500. That will give you about 70 more rear wheel horse power, plus giving you a upgradable platform for even more HP. The 5mgte mod is out line well in Aaron Garney's page. Good luck.
