I want to run my IC piping down from my turbo then forward to the IC, but am unclear how close I can come to the bar circled in the picture below (not sure what it's called). How much does this bar move? Should I go over or under this bar?

Thanks!

won't that get into contact with your lower coolant hose? Twins Turbo sells a cheap sub 70 dollar part that rotates your lower coolant hose, allowing you to fub up the i/c pipe closer and shorter to the i/c core.

Is it turbo? Is it stick?

Yeah, you can honestly be 1/2" away if need be... that bar rotates within its mounts but doesnt 'move' much.
If you're unsure of normal IC routing, just check out some photos of other peoples engine bays or see if you can find a tutorial for install to see bumper off pictures. I may have some buried in my build thread but I'm not sure where.

I tried that route on my old intercooler. The idea of the shortest route is great but I didn't like back then . So on the new FMIC, I just went the traditional way with minimum couplers on the piping.
