I'm in the process of completely redoing my engine bay and I'm looking to relocate the ignitor from its ugly position on the strut tower. My question is about the grey connector that is attached to the mounting plate. It isn't grounded through the bracket is it? It doesn't appear to be but I just want to make sure. I may have to take the bracket off to mount it as I want, just want to make sure it isn't a ground or anything.

So the bracket does need to stay? Can't just be removed? And if removed would it be possible to ground it another way? The bracket is just a bit bulky when trying to relocate

The grey connector is a noise filter and the bracket itself does not act as a ground of any sort. the ground for the igniter is the brown wire within the actual igniter harness...tuck away!

Thank you for your answer, one less thing in the engine bay. Only thing left is the wires to where I hide but unfortunately no way to hide the wires too without lengthening the connectors.
