I just installed the max-air box last night.
The hardest problem was to relocate the solenoid for the AVC-R, since the previous owner has attached this to the stock airbox.

I barely have enough space between the heat shield, MAF, and the intercooler hose.

Anyway, I noticed that my idle goes up to about 700 rpm. It used to be about 650 rpm before the intake install. Does it have something to do with the MAF seeing more air as before ?

Thanks in advance

BTW, guys, the reason I'm worrying about only 500 rpm, is that I'm afraid I might have messed up the MAF somehow when I wrestled the airbox off the MAF.

The open air intake does sound good though.
