Ok... I'll just apologize up front for the stupid question. I'm about to swap my built motor into a near perfect sc300 that has never been modified. The engine bay paint is is excellent condition and very clean, and I'm curious if there's a spray-can product that will provide a good clearcoat finish assuming I appropriately prep the engine bay. It seems applying a clearcoat should be pretty straight forward without a compressor and sprayer. Am I off my rocker?

Thanks,
-scott

If you are going to the lengths of properly prepping the engine bay , I suggest use proper paint and clear, there is no way you can get around needing to apply some basecoat color ,because the paint in there is pretty thin.Do it right the first time
