Infinity 5 1/4" Front Components Finally Installed

Finally after working with the stock speaker setup for quite some time, I was able to get aftermarket Infinity 50.3cs component speakers to fit in that grey speaker box....It sounds great, It hits really hard especially because I was able to get an air tight fit on the box and because it got rid of the blown stock speaker :D :D Now all I have to do is get the dash apart to replace the stock tweeters:rolleyes:

How did you get 5 1/4 speakers to fit? Don't the doors take 4? Did you have to do any special cutting of the grey plastic thing or what? If you could let me know, that would be great. Thanks.
I just did a little cutting on the factory speaker mounts to make mine fit. It is not air tight anymore, but really close and sounds excellent. Now all I need to do is replace my blown sub and I will be set. :D

What size is the stock sub in the MKIV????
From everything that I know...It is a 5x7 one way speaker in an enclosure, not sure though, I am planning on getting in there this weekend

That's weird I heard it was an 8 or 10" sub.?????
That is interesting. That would be really cool if it was a 10" but I am going to be installing some Infinity 63.2 rear speakers this friday and will look at the sub and let you know for sure what size it is.

Any pics????
I will get some this weekend!!
the rear sub is a 5x7 one way speaker in an enclosurer
the rear speakers are 61/2 the doors are 4 "

the amp size is rather small im figuring 7 to 9 " long and about 1 1/2 to 2 " tall its located right under the passenger seat !

talk to thomas he makes some really good plates that hold 5 1/2 or bigger speakers( what ever size you want upto 6 3/4) with some dynamat and time you will have a great set up if you take your time !

dont mount the speakers to the door panel directly as the weight after time will rip the panel and fall !
