Hey Curt I've got a friend here with a Titan 3.4L block, and essentially, there's a cop harassing him saying that the block is stolen because it doesn't have a serial # where he is looking for one. Does Toyota stamp the block with this information, if so, where is it? And if not, could you provide some sort of letterhead stating so? He's trying to block the car from being registered.

Thanks!

Toyota does not put the VIN number of the vechile on the block. They do have a serial number on the left side , front, behind the compressor. Replacement blocks have no numbers stamped on it. With the VIN number I can tell you the original blocks serial number.
