Well this thread is being started for all of us to post any and all information on the 20 MKIV Toyota Supra's that were made in 1992 with frame number 0001010.

These are the 1st MKIV's made... 1992 title and vin dates.

If you make a post with information please site where your information is from.

Serial Number

Beginning with the first prototype each Supra was assigned a unique serial number, which can be used for determining the manufacturing date. From April 1997 on the production was moved from plants A21-A26 to plants M21-M22. Vehicles produced after April 1997 do have a serial number starting with "1" instead of "0".

MK4 Supra production "technically" started in December 1992. However only 53 vehicles were built from Dec 1992 through to March 1993. After 15 years, there may only be a handful of these pre-production MK4's on the road today.

This is 1 of the 20 ... a 1992 MKIV http://jasperperformance.com/supra/index.html

Toyota's Isao Tsuzuki doesn't have the word 'fanatic' engraved on his business card but he definitely deserves such an appellation. The 48-year-old engineer was assigned responsibility for the new 1993 Supra three years ago after earning his stripes as assistant chief engineer on the past two generations of the Toyota MR2.

What does it mean? Supra: Derived from the Latin prefix meaning "to surpass" or "go beyond".
Where was it built? Supra was built at the Motomachi Plant in Toyota City, Japan.

Awesome thread!! I would do just about anything to own one of the 20!!! It sucks the Jasper performance Supra is so damn ugly... it could have been one hell of a collectors piece if kept stock. Ah well, I'll hold out hope for the other 19

it would be nice to know how many of these are still here today and not totaled or trashed from some serious wreck that would really suck:tear:. the price if some crazy person would want to sell their 92 model with some decently low miles would be ridiculous if they know what they have in their hands:eek4dance

The Jasper Supra above had pretty low miles and was listed on Speedforsale.com a while back for around $40k I think.

I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty damn sure that the Jasper Supra started life as The Rhys Millen 2wd Rally Supra - it was sent directly from Toyota to Stillen and was outfitted for racing from the beginning. It's also a factory 6-spd hardtop. It was for sale on Ebay years and years ago in it's original rally configuration, a shitload of MK3 buzzsaw wheels w/dirt tires, gutted, caged, Kaaz diff (it was the silver MK4 on the Kaaz posters for a long time) fire suppresion system, etc. I'm pretty sure that's when Jasper bought it and rebuilt it to be a drift car. It had all kinds of crazy old school parts on it - Greddy Sidemount IC and some other stuff.

Yep, this info is correct. We sold the car for Jasper to a client in Europe a year and a half ago.

Only feasible way of tracking those 19 mkiv's would be to have their vin number. Are they all the same with the exception of the last four numbers? Carfax could do the dirty work for us.

great idea .... but I dont have the vins... also this would only work on USA cars that are 1992 MKIV's... most of them stayed in Japan... so far the Jasper one is the only one I know of or that anyonoe has talked about hitting us here in the USA.

There were two of them, the white one you mentioned. And a primarily yellow with a splash of green and blue.
