Anyone know how it's done? I was thinking about the momo carbon fiber pit stop model here:

but i was wondering how would i go about installing it? I know i'll need a boot, already got the italian leather 1 on speedforsale.com in mind but i wish theyd fix the images so you could enlarge them. anyways... any info would be great. thanks.

You have to cut the old one off, then you can put the new one on....

Yes, you have to cut of the leather part of the old one...
Then put the new one over..

Yes i have one, but i had to cut it like 2/3 of it..
Since it wouldent fit...
But finaly after a wile i got it to fit....

You have to have one, or elles its gonna look shit...

The Momo Rubber Adaptor number was

25011500006

That was on the package, they are called something like A1,A2,A5 and such.
Cant remeber what i have, since a member on the UK MKIV Forum sold all this to me...

Well on the stock handbrake , the leather part where you hold..
That leather part must be cut of, with a knife...
Best way for me was to cut all the stiches from under it...

Then when it was of, i pressed the new one over...
And it fited like a glove :naughty:

yeah it helps. thanks... i kinda like the look of no boot, do you think itd'd look weird/cheesy if i didnt get a leathe rboot or anything and just replaced the handle and added the adapter?
