Bare with me as I'm very newt to these cars and cars in general. I have just taken apart my intake system to clean out my spark plug well and to replace my Valve cover gaskets. When trying to reassemble the intake plenum this little metal house isn't lining up no matter how the intake plenum is positioned. I did replace the gasket but i dont believe that's the cause. If anyone has some words of wisdom on how to either adjust the house or notice something i'm doing wrong please let me know.

Yes this can be a chore to get started. You may have to loosen, pry, pull or whatever it takes to get the bolts started in the holes without boogering the threads. Be sure your gasket is in place at the end of it.

I think I had a helper pry on the pipe to get it aligned enough to properly start the threads. Of course, start the threads by hand, which means it needs to be pried hard enough there is no interference at all from the part you're screwing down. Those are aluminum threads, after all.... Once both bolts are in several turns, you can finish screwing it down without the prying.

I actually did get it to fit and got everything all tightened up but i took a further glance and i realized i put a gasket ontop of a gasket so i had to take everything off lmao. If any one has tips on taking 35 year old gasket off let me know👌
