I was looking around at some intercooler system. And the greddy system is nice but it is well over 1grand. I was wondering are there other system. I was looking at this brand called Godspeed. There system looks nice. Has anyone have a godspeed system on there supra and how is it? Give me some ideas. Any information helps. Thank you for your time.

i have a godspeed on my 240sx. i bought it when i started my 2JZGTE swap into it. with the assumption of the car never being more than a BPU setup. well now it is a single/fuel/etc setup. but it seems to hold up fine. i am however considering of picking up a precision turbo core and getting one made.

Another good one is ETS ...Extreme Turbo Systems out of Washington State. Another one is Bell Intercoolers ...they've been around since day 1 and make high quality intercoolers of all types.

intercooler choices: i have the spearco from turbonetisc on my 97 auto, easy install fits like a glove, had to remove fan, no big deal,no over heating, no problems in the 4 years i have had it, i think by mistake they sent a bov with the fmi, worked out well, nice product good welds, complete hard ware package.

i had god speed on my sc400 with a 2jzgte swap it wasnt that bad...i currently have a 3 core IC from cxracing.com

quality is excellent and the welds are nice..good bang for the buck

just be prepared to do some running around to get pipes made for the turbo side if your running single..i think this goes for any turbo kit

You could find a used Greddy in the FS section for a very good price(unless you want new). It's a non mechanical, non rotational part so it's no biggie if it's used. Besides that, I'll list what seems like good options other than HKS/Apexi and what some prefer to run on here: ETS, Precison, Spearco, Mishimoto. Then there's the CXracing, Godspeed, Yonaka Etc. I'm sure there are more out there but most are just rebadged from the same supplier.

Keep in mind our sponsors BL, SP, PHR, Titan etc. offer some of their own. In the end, pick something rated for your target goal and a GOOD quality (heat soak consideration) and never look back.

I would say buy for the future set up, if you planning for 800whp you may want to spend the money now and get something that will be effective in that range. nothing like drop cash now and then doing it again in the near future. Im running a 4inch Blitz and works well in 90 plus heat but i have heard good things about ETS and Greddy holding up at high HP and work great at BPU.

I am happy so far with my CxRacing 4" intercooler. I got the largest they made and it fit pretty nice. I have yet to really push it since my motor crank walked 2 months into it and I just am putting break in miles on my new motor now. It is a cheaper intercooler and the only downside I have seen so far is the finish does not hold up that well, but hey its cheap.

Pic on the old motor install

Different angle on the new set up.

Sort of an related topic but will a big intercooler hurt performance, say a car is bpu would one of those 5" thick intercoolers be overkill?
