I bought a silicone reducer hose to connect to the intercooler coming from the turbo. The hose is not reinforced, so will that be a problem?

Possibly.... depends on how much boost you're running = the suction....

I AM having problems above 22psi.....

A non-supported silicone coupler is not going to last at 13-16 PSI very long if at all. Silicone by nature is a very weak material. The tensile strength and elongation values are very low in comparison to all other organic (black rubber) materials. This is the reason why most hose producers reinforce silicone with Polyester, Aramid or Fiberglass.
