there is recommended to intall a 1200 ohm resistor to give the ecu a constant intake air value. (THA-E2)
here are the values of the factory maf:
-20 C 10 - 20 k/ohm
0 C 4 - 7 k/ohm
20 C 2 - 3 k/ohm
40 C 0.9 - 1,3 k/ohm
60 C 0.4 - 0.7 k/ohm
why we set the value to a constant temp of 40C? why not 20C or 0C? what will basicly change if I set an other value? I think 40C is too high for incomming air, what do you think?

Kevin,
if you bought the entire vpc kit for the supra, you have already a resistor in the smal white box in the vpc extension harness. I bought the mr2 kit and the aditional supra chip and hardwired my self into the stock harness. If you do so, you need defently the resistor.
