Does anyone know about this supratraderonline.com site? Is it legit, and if so, has anyone here used it to buy or sell and had any results?

Some of the listings may be old, but the site itself is legit. It is owned by a friend of mine and he is also a member here as well. It is legit, but as stated some of the cars on there are old listings that may have since been sold, that I do believe is moderated by the lister though and not the webmaster.

I always see the same cars over and over on there for years on end. If a car is sold why not take the ad down?

Hey guys,
I run SupraTraderOnline.com... and yes the site is legit, just as much as any other auto classifieds site except we are focused on only Supras.

The listings on our site are added by the vehicle owners and we do all we can to make sure the listings are real.

We do have administrators who look over ads and flag anything that appears to be fraud and investigate any complaints from our users. However, without us being able to see the car there can sometimes be a few fraudulent ads that slip through the cracks just like ones that you will see on ebay.

I just recommend using some common sense and realize that a 1997 15,000 mile, perfect condition Supra is not likely going to be selling for $2,000.

When a vehicle is sold the listing owner needs to contact us to tell us the vehicle is sold, so yes sometimes there are some old listings on there that we are not notified about and have no way of telling if they are sold or not.

We are working on some new systems for Supra Trader Online and hopefully we will be able to combat this problem a little better in the future. However, there are still new listings being added daily.

If you have a questions feel free to let us know...

i have been keeping an eye on supra trader online. There is one car that I have been in talks with the owner, but only one. There are several cars listed on there with old disconnected telephone numbers. There is a link on each ad "view all my listings" some of them pull up ads from all over the nation. I dont know if thats a broker or a scam.

I got a hold of one guy that had sold several supras. He sounded legit but was surprised the ad was still on the site. His supras had been sold for quite some time.

I don't know. It says they have 129 MKIV listings! Not likely that 10% of them are for sale. Some of the ads look like ones I saw there years ago.
I don't understand that - I would charge a monthly fee for a listing, that would knock out the sold and some of the scams.

It's got it's pros and cons...you have to spend quite a bit of time calling the numbers provided to talk to the owner and research yourself...what's that Lating saying? Ah, yes, "Caveat Emptor," let the buyer beware.

I found my supra on that site but a moderated site would be awesome!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but did this site ever get improved/updated? A buddy of mine is looking at getting in a Supra and he asked me about supratraderonline.com. Is any listing current? I don't understand why something as simple as a "date listed" isn't shown.

You can search recent listings only on there.
