tried search found nothing, so here i go

So im driving on the highway doing 65 in 5th gear (w58 on an NA) and the rpms go up and i do not increase in speed.

Im pretty sure thats a definitive sign that my clutch is slipping lmao

So then the question i have is:

I know some cars have an adjustable clutch, is the w58 trans one of them?

Anything else i should check? it only slipps under WOT but if i baby it its fine

Sound like a clutch slippen to me.Im not sure but I dont think the clutch is adjustable. Im in in the middle of a swap and I didint see signs that you could adjust it. good luck

worth it to get another oem clutch or go aftermarket? pros and cons of each?

honestly, which one am i going to get the most miles out of (i got 8k out of my oem, and apparently 60k from the owner before me)

The pedal is adjustable, but that's as far as it goes. If you crawl under the dash you'll see the pushrod that goes from the clutch pedal into the clutch master cylinder. That rod is adjustable. It's held in place by a 12mm nut. Loosen the nut and spin the entire pushrod with your fingers, either in or out.

Odds are your clutch is gone. No adjustment will make that go away unless there's already pressure on the pedal making the clutch disengage early.

Go aftermarket. Ive ran after market clutchs on street and strip. their like factory but you get a stiffer pedal and it holds alot more power. depending on your mods or what you wanna do,research clutchs and go from there. look in 2 rps.

the guy driving it is not me, its some dude from the shop

is it me or is he riding the clutch @ 2:30 on to the end of the vid?

I hated the way he drove it, no one else who dynoed there car liked him either

would anyone suggest a Aftermarket stage 1 or 2 clutch/flywheel set up

or just oem replacements

i want it to feel close to oem
but if its only a few bucks more for an aftermarket one than i mines as well

I have a 97 Na making around 200whp

any suggestions on reasonably priced aftermarket packages? lol
