well on the 2j USDM its a boost pressure sensor but also can be used as a map.

When i'm finished with lunch i'll walk out and get the part number off of my 2j map sensor so you can compare.

Looks just like my 2J map sensor!
If i remember correctly the 1j and 2j one basically looked identical.

and ralph.....why didn't you just say g00dtimes26 was you? I was excited there was another 1j car in our area.

edit:

Part numbers
Map sensor (1JZ) 89420-24040
Map sensor (2JZ) 89421-12111

now I wonder what sensor the 2j JDM mkiv uses.

from left to right clockwise. Orange(soarer or chaser) Green big bracket (JZA70) and the last one is from a 2jz, that is a map sensor, but in the US version it uses both MAP and MAF. The US 2jz is gay like that.

Soarer/Chaser. The soarer/chaser share almost everything the same, even the ecu itself.

JDM and USDM 2JZ MAP sensors are the same.

89421-12110 (early JDM) (Superscedes to 89421-12111)
89421-12111 (late JDM, USDM)

So thats a chaser/soarer one correct... like VJ said? And if thats the case, y would it have dif part # if it does the same exact thing on the same exact engine? Iono

Possibly slightly different mounting.

Nope, not women's history month anymore, but I haven't had time to do another PS yet, lol.
