HOw similar is the tuning capabilities for the is 300 cars vs the na supras, I some how think it would be logicaly very similar if those cars have similar motors to the na supra???

Any thoughts?

Sad fact: The IS300 is offered in n/a form only therefore the n/a aftermarket is way more diverse than the n/a mkiv.
Good fact: The IS300 will accept the mkiv turbo parts quite readily. Enjoy.

Easily?
No.

In order to tune the IS300 you need to control the fuel/timing.
We are VVTi and our trannys are weak.

You can swap a TT Engine but some stuff needs to be sourced / fabricated.

Check out www.clublexus.com and www.is300.net

Here is the FI sheet for the IS300 made by redline814

my ref to the VVTi was in relation to timing
the weak tranny comment was separate

the IS 5-speed has some problems with 350 hp +
the automatic seems fine for 400 hp but has some shifting issues.
