Well after going about 400 miles of the 1100 from Portland to San DIego my wheel bearings and hubs some how got destroyed. So after lifting up my car and hearing them tell me that I am lucky my wheel didn't fall off and remembering how the night before I was reaching speeds of up to 150. Now I am sitting in BFE or better known as Redding California I was cruising to get some pizza and at about 40 my hood flys open blasting my windshield into a million pieces and destroying my roof and and not helping the look of my hood all too much. I think it's about time to have a Supra Forums Roast and light this fucking car up. I am so dam sick of this car I cannot believe it..... Is it time for an M3?

that sounds really weird, to go the day after when you are going slow, and not when you are going fast?, never heard of that before, how long were you going 150 though, maybe that had something to do with it, maybe it didnt have enough time do go then ( I dont know how this would make sense) and were you goin at 40 for a long period of time?, I think that would have something to do with it

Damn man! :( I though I had tough luck when it comes to the cars I have. Thanks for making me feel better now, lol. No really, that sucks to read. Next time your in town, you can have my hood. It'll get me going on pulling the TRD one I have out of the box and finally put it on.

If you prefer a slower car that looks like a fancy 330i and costs more to repair than a MKIV, knock yourself out.

Man now this post has me a bit worried. Whenever i drive my car above 40, the hood seems to move (not just witnessed by me, I had a few friends confirm). Did you notice this type of phenomena before it actually flew off? Anyone else have this problem?

:stupid:

a friend of mine sold his Supra about a month ago cause of a coulpe little nagging issues and bought an M3... it left him stranded the 2nd week, and then he found out the next service was like $1,300... so he got rid of it and now drives an '05 350z... it's nice but nowhere near his Supra. now he said he was going to save up $ to get another Supra :1poke:

When I would be a mile away from home I used to pop the hood latch and let the air flow up under the hood. I always went 40 and below. That must of been scary for a moment man. Sorry to hear about that.

Well where do I start? I want to thank everyone for there support and Jerry I might just have to take you up on the off as well as the windshield offer from Ramairo. Let's see how long was I going 150 for about 2 mins you know how it is, up and down on the speed. As for m3's sucking I am not sure about all that since my friend has owned nothing but and my moms M5 is nothing but a 4 door good time. Never once has it needed any maintanence which is good considering the fact that when my POS is in the shop which is often I am railing on the M5. My friends SMG m3 seems sick to me. Anyways for the comment about leaving you stranded and 6k well I am stuck in the middle of no where and it's not like this is my first time but after spending 30K in 1 year I am fed the f*ck up so I think I need to start exploring my other options. I mean I even went back to stock twins and stock tranny but of course something else has to go bad. I only went about 30 yards after leaving my friends house and right when I reached 40 it was so dark I had no idea what was going on then heard the slam againist the roof. What really worries me is that all day I had the top off and think that if it would have happened then I would have gotten knocked the f*ck out. Today I installed some nice hood pins, really make the car look like a beater but it just goes so nicely with the windshield. What pisses me off about all this and those that know me and my stories of bad luck know that I always try to take care of my car and take it to someone who is supposed to know what they are doing yet I always get screwed of have the worst possiable thing happen. Thanks for letting me bitch about my problems. Laterz

dont fill to bad I have had my share of luck, but the biggest mistake out of it was selling the car because of some little problems. First of all take in consideration the year of the car. Maintence is a must for every car and what car do you know this old that doesnt have issues at that age. This is what happen to me first repainted the car and got screwed around next repainted the car again and got screwed around next two weeks later after the second paint job I ran under a truck that decided to go at a yeild sign and then stop in the middle of doing so. Had to replace the hood and paint as well as the latches. Next, a week after that accident I was getting the car alingment and a van pulled out of its parking spot and crushed the rear panel while it was parked. So got it all fixed clean as hell and like the first night taking it home to park it I realized it would not make up my drive way when the front wings west lip was chipped(paint on the lip).
Next, bought flyudine radiator a month later after the stock radiator cracked after racing a ls1 ( won the race in doing so ). 5 months after the car grew a mind of its own and decided to do a 360 in the middle of the freeway and dive into a ditch and hit a car in doing so smashing the front end of the car. After that I decided that was it and sold the car. Now I sit here thinking of the good times we had. Still trying to save for another supra. What happen to the money? Well bought a house and spent most of it on a down payment on three new cars that I never ended up keeping because none where close to comparison to a supra cars bought were 04 avalanche ( with 24's big wheels ) 04 vette and 04 tahoe. What a waist of time but learn from my mistakes and just hang in there trust me you will regret it if you dont.

When i shut my hood it never latches all the way so i allways have to press down on that one side to make sure the other one latches to.But that sucks to hear we all i think have our share of things happen at one time or another.
