What is this JCI and road tax im always reading about? Is it like some kind of car insurence? how does it work and is it expensive much? Im from Canada and this is all new to me haha. Im also wondering if these payments are menditory if you would sell the car and move it out of Japan before payment dates.
Road tax and JCI is just the inspection on the car if you are going to drive it on the road. If you are shipping it out of the country then you can deregister it and ship. No fee other than a $25 paperwork fee.

Oh ic. So basicly if your motor has more then 100,000km on it it fails JCI inspections. Which is a emmisions test in other words.
In Canada all we need is a safety inspection and emissions test. That road tax in Japan sucks. Is it pricy?
Im also looking for a compenie that would pick up a vehicle from a driveway and ship it to Canada or even a location were you can bring a car to them and they ship it out?
No. If the engine pumping out excessive emissions then it will fail or if the car is just unsafe to drive it will fail. road tax for a JZA80 it is 19,000yen. Well there are companies out there that will ship it for you but not sure how many places will take the car apart for shipping. Not sure about Canada but in the US the car has to be on rollers with no engine or tranny installed. All fluids have to be drained. Hope that helps.
