What is the difference in the 2jz-gte from Japan...Sorry if it has been asked before, but i am new and can't find any past posts...If similar then can I find parts for the motor/trans at the local dealership?

There are many differences and I'll just list a couple. You also need to understand the the 2J engine is in many Jap cars- so you'll have to be specific on whether it's out of a Supra or a Lorinsor, or Aristo or etc.

Cams
Injectors
No EGR on JDM
ECU
Cam gears
Fuel system

There are a few others, but you certaintly ain't going to find these at a local dealership. Of course you can replace it with the US-sped equivalent.
