I was in the process of removing my old diff and broke the left front diff bolt loose. The bolt nearest the driveshaft just spins but wont loosen. From the sounds of it there is a tab inside the subframe to keep the bolt from spinning that has broken loose. Anyone have any insight on this situation. LET me know. Im in the garage so feel free to call me 607-426-5570 (Verizon wireless)

Use a prybar or big flat screwdriver to hold tension down on the bolt while you turn it.. This will keep the cam-nut in position.

The cam nut is useless. I let the diff sag and pryed on it without any luck. Should I cut the bolt and weld a 17mm nut in the hole or can I get to the bolt from the top of the subframe?
