Ok I just took my engine/tranny out and have a few questions.

Here is my ACT stage 3 i think (came w/ the car)
Does the wear look normal?


thickness of clutch (kind of hard to see)



close up


and what can I do about this glazing?



the beast minus the turbo (its in a box, in pieces)



the saga starts (the 89 300zx turbo Vs. the 87 Supra Turbo)


what are these as well?

just to let you know the lower tube thats closed is how
its supposed to be, something about RHD heater hose or something
but the upper one shouldnt be closed.....hmmmm i think that
thats not a good sign
and i got an automagic so someone else is going to have to help
you with that...
**is that a twin turbo 300? Test drove one of my friends one
and i have to say it kept a smile on my face :)

no its not a twin turbo Z its actually a JDM engine from a Cedric ( i think the j-spec maxima?) its for an 89 Z..

I took the bumper off because I lifted the rear of the car to make removal easier, and the front bumper was practically on the ground... to low to get the lift under the car, so off came the bumper.. :)

ah Memories... thats how my car looks now, no engine, no front bumper, but i did leave the tranny in place though... what are you plans for the engine now? aight peace

as far as the engine goes, im cleaning her back up, I bought the car w/ the engine already rebuilt so I dont have to do any of tht stuff. Im going to change the timimng belt, misc gaskets, replace all hoses get a new (balanced) crank pully... the one on there looked like it hit a bolder... ill get a pic when I remove it.

it also gives me a chance to paint the engine bay, and make it worthy of people's gazes ;)

few other probs I have to take care of as well, also getting it ready for the upgraded ct26 60-1 10' amongst other things...

as for the tranny its still in the car... well under the hood lol...

hopefully ill have everything in in 2 weeks.

There should be a hose going from this one to the heater control valve by the passenger side firewall. And I think the other one is the one known to break and spray coolant all over. If the car did not come with the heater working, don't just go ahead and put a hose on that upper one, the heater core might have been leaking and that's why the hose is not there. HTH
