Yes I know the w58 isnt the strongest trannys ever made, but how bout the rear end on the NA cars, drive shaft, ect...How much will they hold???

Ive got an NA car with the GTE swap...Im thinking about going big single, cams, ect. My w58 seems to be holding up strong(knock on wood), im just wondering what would go first if the w58 doesnt.

It will hold up just fine. You definitely will hear your transmission blowing up before your DS or Rear end go. But if you do plan to go bigger setups..I suggest you put your money on the side for either a R154 tranny or go all at it and get a 6-speed. My word of advice go for the 6-speed. Have fun!

if you go 6-speed do you need a 6spd axle and drive shaft or can i use my 5spd rear and drive shaft.i just got my mk4 and i want to go single with the works. im looking for at most 400-450.

If you plan to make bigger power, I would suggest droping the differential and adding the larger circular differential spacer located on the subframe (TT's have this already) to stabilize and reineforce the sub-frame.
