Ok so im redoing my headgasket...I tried searching but it isn't working...my car has a downpipe high flow cat exhaust intake...blah blah blah...thing is I don't want the motor overheating again...any tips?...im trying to stay on a budget...suggestions welcomed..thanks

Just make sure that you replace ALL of the coolant lines and hoses. Torque the head down correctly and I would suggest a 180 degree thermostat although I am sure you can give 15 degrees hotter or colder of that. Just making sure that no coolant lines will blow is probably the main thing.

Oh ok kool....all hoses look good....I have an intercooler but I don't have piping(it was something I got from a trade)..should I install it with 2.5 aluminum piping??would it help alot

stock is 190* go with that. stock fan clutch. big alum rad will cool better than stock.

stock there is nothing wrong with the cooling system. if you motor is running healthy there should be no reason for it to overheat.

make sure the engine isnt caked in oil or anything like that it could act as a blanket and keep the heat in

get one of those thermostats that when it overheats is stays open instead of closing:bigthumb:

Make sure your fan shroud is not all fucked up aswell as the bottom engine cover.

Well im taking my time with this...checking every hose...im sending my radiator to a specialist that only works on cooling systems...they will flush it pressure test and check for leaks or cracks of any sort...im buying a fan shroud and all that stuff...anything else I forgot?

Make sure your fan shroud is not all fucked up as well as the bottom engine cover.

This and a good flowing radiator, stock or aftermarket, is the best advice of all..

Ceramic coat the manifold and downpipe and get a blanket for the hotside of the turbo.

At every stop light get out of the car and dump a bucket of ice water on the engine.
