Sounds stupid, real stupid, but that car better be in park when you're trying this. Jiggle the steering column left and right while trying with the key. Then try jiggling the steering wheel left and right while trying with the key. Sometimes my key gets stuck and I jiggle the steering wheel and the key too and then the key comes out.

 

I did that. It doesnt go into the position that would require to jiggle the wheel though. It's stuck in the ACC postion. Thw wheel just turns like normal then. I dunno what to do. I have had it in every gear and tried to pull it out.

It almost seems like your car is not going into park completely..... doesn't it not go from ACC to OFF when the car isn't in park?

Yeahj that what i was tryin to do. I think it will come out in nuetral also, but that didnt work. This is freaking weird.

 

Problem solved. With some help from mark. I had to break the damn key i made. i dunno why but it was hitting the plastic around the ignition. its never done it before, but oh well. Only casualty is my key.

if you broke the key, how did you get the rest of the key out of the ignition...?

 

it was the Supra key i made. So I broke off the top part of the key off. So there was about a 1/2 an inch left there for me to use and get it out. I didnt breka the key off in the ignition. I'm not that crazy.
