ok, i changed my heater hoses after i went single because, well like everyone know, it doesn't fit well when you go single.

Everything was going well for a 1000 miles and then my connector, where it goes in the firewall started leaking. I beleive these are made out of brass and i might have bent one a little when i changed the hoses. probably that the hose doesn't seal good if one is bent a little.

Can this be changed or do i have to remove the entire dash assembly? anyone ever had that problem?

should i just get rid of the heater and bypass it? and freeze to death during fall? What was Toyota thinking when they decided to put brass for the heater connectors?

thanks for any help.

The nipple isn't easily removed and you should attept to fix it. You would have to have noticable bend it for it not to seal. What size hose did you use and are did you put a clamp on it? Did you tighten it? I've seen heater/coolant hoses leak because they simply weren't tight enough.
