1. Speedomitor is hooked up. Both ends of the cable. Whats the deal? How much, and does anyone have f/s?

haha...wait until your clutch fan goes out, your radiator fails, your water pump leaks, your turbo seals fail, your turbo then seizes, your engine has rod-knock, you have a BHG, your rear coolant line from the back of the head bursts and makes a smokeshow, your coolant lines to your turbo fail, your oil pressure sender fails, your BOV fails, your AFM dies, your trunk rusts through, your brakes lock up, your differential fails, your driveshaft center bearing fails, your TEMS shocks wear out, your window regulators fail, your pop-up headlights fail, your exhaust rusts through, your transmission fails its synchros, your crankshaft pulley bolt fails, your injectors clog up at full boost and you blow your engine...

No...that hasn't all happened to me..I don't have rust.

j/k about all that...it will all come in good time! Now, for your answer...you might try refreshing the rubber seals by finding a product that says "rubber conditioner" on it. NO, not Armour all! But, I use this stuff from Zaino Bros that works great. Just find something like that.

lancefloyd--sounds like a serious case of Supra-neglect. If the motor was torn down for a BHG, half of those things (like the coolant block-off, various hoses, plugged radiator, etc.) all should have been taken care of as preventative maintenance so it doesn't leave you stranded. I'm not saying parts won't fail, of course they will, the car is 15-years old, but at least a little lovin' and preventative maintenance could likely have prevented a lot of those problems.

I don't know the answers to the other questions, but the taillights generally leak at the top seam where the plastic lens meets the housing. At least that was the source of the leak on my '88. A little black RTV and it's held up great for the past 1.5 years with not a drop of H2O inside.

About the tail lights. What I did for a quick fix was put duck tape(sounds gheto) on the tail lights is on the edege on the part inside the trunk thus not being able to see it from the outside at all. This is where the water drains to from the hatch and is usually due to bad tail light gaskets. I did that for about 2 months untill I got mine fixed. I had to do something with all the rain here in seattle.

yeah you are right...I bought this car from a guy in CA who didn't know what the hell he had...just knew it was a supra. I bought it without going to see it...o well. The leaks should be pretty easy to fix w/ RTV though.
