$150 for an hour an a half tuning and my car now runs like ass whenever I boost. I got clean 4th gear pulls on the dyno after messing with the fuel pressure, but now I get fuel cut randomly in 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 4rth.

It has to be a boost leak, so I can fix it and go re-tune.
I have pissed away far too much money on dyno tuning. Probably spent $600 on tuning this car, all for a few nice graphs.

Everyone seems to like the LM-1 as a low cost wideband, but It is not clear to me what options, if any, I need for basic street tuning with one of these.

All I really want is the ability to map a/f for particular rpm and tune my safc-2 accordingly.
If I need options for basic tuning, it changes the whole picture on cost efficiency.

Can i capture a/f and rpm with laptop with the basic unit?
Is the RPM converter necessary for this?

I would definitely get the rpm converter with it. This will allow you to log TPS and Vf as well, not to mention boost and possibly EGT with the right sensors.
