Supra started to idle rough. Like a missfire
Opened the igniter out of curiousity
Does anyone see anything burnt ? Wrong ?
It was working fine Friday. Disconnected the battery negative to fix some wires just re wrapping with electrical tape
Plugged it back yesterday and boom engine won’t stay idling and dies. And when reving gently it sounds like it’s running on a few cylinders ... thoughts ?
I didn’t cut any wires or accidentally broke a harness or connector ...
Was running a wire from the pin 1 to the body harness to make my tach work. Which was working before all this.

What makes you think it's ignition related, and specifically the igniter? Based on what you described I'd be inclined to start by looking at the spark plugs and coils. Also the map sensor and iat if you are on a speed density system.

i've never knows an ignitor to be "kinda" bad. its either broke or its not. i'd look at the other stuff like CD said. maybe something with your ecu if since you had the battery disc.
