you guys know where i can get one?

cant find a silencer bigger than 4-4.5" on ebay.
i did find a few on google seach but the sites look a tad shady. i just need a cheap one to tone it down a bit.

i like to drive my car to work often at 6am and needless to say with a ported head and 4" exhaust and hks super drager, the neighbours hate it.
ive had 2 of them complain so far. it seems worse with the ported head. the bass from the super drager wakes up multiple neighbours every time

i just measured the exhaust tip a few mins ago and its 5", except its actually 5" from the outside of one side to the inside of the other side. so more like 4.9" i guess??
ill get a 5" and dremmel it down to fit if i need to.

anyone got a line on a generic silencer that i can jam into the super drager tip and maybe drill a hole in the tip to secure it in there?

looks like HKS has some. anyone ever buy one from HKS for a super drager?

im thinking it would be the 96mm one because 4" is 101mm and like i said, its the thickness of the metal less than 4" so thats gotta be it.

can you link a picture? so i can see what kind of materials they used? i'd be interested in stainless steel so it doesnt rust out.

compared to the hks silencer that is $45~

i would like a custom one though. one that restricts the hell out of it so its quiet.

maybe get a custom one made and a cut-out installed at the same time

i havent deeply investigated burns but i did see a 4.25" one they had.

honestly im polly gonna go with the 96mm HKS silencer because thats what mine is and if i get a true 5" silencer it may be SLIGHTLY too big (5" = 101.6mm)

Just a thought, but Jegs and Summit (among other diesel exhaust manufacturers) make 5" mufflers for their diesel exhausts. They make them in stainless and mild steel. You could probably pick up an ENTIRE stainless turbo back 5" system for less then a burns 5" muffler.
