pardon my ignorance, but whats the difference between US and JDM spec Turbos?

that still doesnt explain the difference between US and JDM turbos. im an mk3 owner so again pardon my ignorance to this matter. im tryin to learn as much as possible.

i have some off a 98 with under 20k miles, i never even seen the turbos, i bought them off some guy on this forum but my car got totalled before they went on, the turbos are at my friends house but i still have not paid the guy, we agreed on 400 bucks, if you paypal him or whatever i can just bring them up to you from tampa

Krystian...is it just the turbos or all the piping needed to strap it to the engine? Any reported problems with them, shaft play etc...or were they advertised as "perfect".
