you can make then tighter... get in the hatch and look at them...

 

seriously, or is that a bad joke? I've played with them before and couldn't figure it out. I might be a lozer though...

loose targa holders

I have the same problem, so what i did was place some soft material under the targa and the carpet at the front holders near the top side of the rear fenders to make a tighter fit , this way the targa fits in the front holders more snug, stops almost all looseness in the holders

 

give me your supra a buy a hardtop, done deal !!!

I had this problem and it's easy to fix. Take the holder apart and buy a new spring or just stretch it also drill the hole out in the other part just a little.

 

leave it at home and hope it dont rain

 

I drilled th holes and then filled them in partially with a rubber cement type material to give the little cone something with more friction to grab onto. seems to work fairly well. I have to take a look at those springs I might just get some new ones...thats a good idea. stretching them also seems pretty smart.

For those looking for an easy solution....throw a pillow under your targa back there. It will deform so that it basically just fills the space under the targa.
