the trim peice behind my pasenger side window is broken off and need some kind of insight on what to do to get it back on! PLEASE dont say "go to the dealer and buy a new one" or anything of that like! im the oepitmy of a MKIII owner right now and am low on funds due to other reasons regaurding the car! so some heavy duty glue or tape or whatnot is needed BADLY and ASAP!! i know there isnt much area to glue to the car itself! but i need something thats going to keep that sucker on there for a GOOD amount of time! like at least a year!!! or pretty much FOREVER!! haha! and according to some local SoCal guys almost nothing will hold it on! soo much wind hits that piece im told its just ridiculous to even bother jimmy rigging or glueing back on! :(

so pretty please with a cherry on top, give me some advice ASAP on where and how to get some heavy duty stuff! need to have issue resolved by Friday for reasons i cant, and have been sworn to secrecy not to, discuss!

put a nail thru that bitch :bigthumb:

man, there has to be some sort of epoxy that will work. the sad part is, you may end up paying more for the glue than you would for a new piece. junkyards don't have that shit? :dunno:

not at all! in fact Mike Urbano told me to use 3M double sided tape that is red on one side! ill go with that cause what he says is usually right! i just wanted to see if anyone else experienced the same!

as for the condition of the trim.. the top and bottom brackets seemed to have broken off. the middle one is still there though!

I would say unbolt it from the inside of the car and get some epoxy and glue the studs back on. The key is to sand the area with some 80 or 100 grit sand paper to roughen the surface up, other wise the epoxy wont stick well. If you really want it to stick epoxy it and use some 3M two way tape.
