I just got a compression checked on my JDM motor w/ approx. 40,000 on it...150 across all six. I happy about the even reading...but was wondering if it's a little low? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

156 psi is normal pressure for mk3 turbos.

128 psi is LOW pressure and your engine will require a rebuild.

Each cylinder should hold around the same amount of pressure. If there is more than a 14 psi difference between any two cylinders, the engine will need a rebuild.

In other words, your engine is healthy :bigthumb:

All according to TSRM

There are a lot of variables to take into consideration. As long as it's consistant across the board and isn't too low, I'd say you've got pretty normal compression.

EDIT: 142psi is the TSRM spec for "Normal" for the Turbo, 156psi is for the N/A.
