I have a 92NA 5spd that had a BHG 3 days after i bought it. I put a new head on it about 5-6 monthes ago, but one of the exhaust bolt holes in the head was stripped. Being lazy i thought, if i tighten the other 6 I'll be fine.

Yesterday I decided to change my ways and fork over 50 bucks for a helicoil kit. WOW! The car is drivable below 2,000 rpm for city driving now and the hesitation off the line is gone. (Tires spinning like mad men).

I still have a pesky miss that i cant fix (compression fine, new plugs/wire, exhaust now fixed (YEAH!),timing good, vacuum good)

Bottomline, if you dont have all 7 bolts for the exhaust in and hella tight. FIX IT!

btw I broke the damn helicoil insertion tool. Can you by just the tool or does anyone need the actual coils? I have a lot.
