Whats up..i am about to go check out a supra that i might buy...i know that the front main seal is a somewhat common problem in mkiv's so what i wanna know is what do i look for and how do i check to see if the main seal is leaking or maybe someone can tell me some signs if any that would show that the seal is about to go....also is there a rear seal that can be checked....the car has a brand mew oem shortblock in it...so i am thinkin that it is either perfect or really screwed up...a very well known supra shop installed the oem shortblock btw

i did a search and found nothing that could help

thanx in advance

look for oil. i don't thinkt here is really anything else you can do. maybe, take an allen head wrench with you that fits the plastic timing covers and take a look under there. if it is bad it will throw some oil around inside those covers.
