Does it flow from engine into filter back into oil pan back into engine or the other way around? Reason why I'm asking - my oil temp sensor is located with my Greddy relocator kit - so if oil flows from filter into engine I'm measuring oil temp going in to engine, if not then I'm measuring coming out. Which would make me feel better about the highish temps I'm seeing at the track - like maxing out at 267F.

But I'm thinking its pump to filter to engine (then it just drips back down into oil pan). Anyone know for sure, factory manual does not help.

I kinda figured but wasn't sure. Which sucks because it means I'm seeing high temps before it goes into engine.

So another question (I can jack my own thread!) - how hot is hot? Is 265F on the track higher than it should be? Normal driving sees 200 - 220, only on track does it go well above 220.

And yes I do have an oil cooler - just got one in, in fact. Its connected to the greddy relocator and since temps have not changed from before I assume I'm measuring it before the cooler. So hopefully its pump-filter-sensor-cooler-engine which means engine is getting it cooler than sensor.

im guessing if the temps didnt change before and after cooler, you are measuring before the cooler.
