I am one of a smaller group on the forum that are ok with the stock HG at medium power levels, as long as its torqued up. However, even once I get tuned and am running 15psi, I will only use 94 octane, and I may upgrade my IC as well.
No way you will want a stock HG running 20 psi. Once youve bought a turbo upgrade, a MHG is small change.
not really I ve had trouble getting the mhg to seal even with the block decked and of course the head surfaced.I only got a used mhg that didnt seal and have a new stock hg.Has anyone ran 20 lbs of boost with a stock hg and arps not blow it real fast
was this called for?if you dont want to take off the head back for a long time..go with the MHG..if you liek changing head gaskets ..be our guest...make sure atleast invest in some arp studs or something
