Guys,

My car is a 97 stock 6spd TT with 53km miles. No mods except for catback Exhaust

Problems:

Some days, this happens, the emergency light will come on and off,
it only happens when i shift it in 2nd gear from 1st. It seems like the drop in idle between shifts is causing this(maybe?)
Right now, my idle in neutral is not steady, its fluctating about 50rpms....

Also, my clutch has some chatter when im in neutral to shift into 1st or to reverse..
Clutch engages fine in all gears and drives smooth. If i do replace with another oem clutch-what parts would i need??new disc, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, flywheel bolts,..Do i need to buy a new pressure plate and flywheel (or resurface flywheel)?

Had my car smog last year and my result are excellent in the CO and NO, but my HC is high,
15mph- MAX=52, measured 50
25mph-MAX=36, measured 15
For my NO-at 25mph, MAX is 711 and measured at 330.
What is needed to to reduce those values? New catyltic converter?? I want to make sure I pass next time with ease.

Last, one, Im going to buy the boostlogic crank pulley and would like to know if Anyone has purchase a black anadozied one instead of silver(to noticable) and smog their car with no problems, I hear that they wont pass you if you change it from oem.

Anyone here have a clue to what may be the problems with same experiences?

This could be a vaccum leak or bad plugs causing the fluctation.

check your flywheel while it's still bolted on the crank , if it's fine then just sand with sand paper and keep the bolts intact , u can change the pilot bearing with the flywheel still bolted , so DO it , change the pilot bearing + the throw out bearing and the clutch disk , if your cover is still ok then sand it too .
if you DO need to either resurface or change the flywheel , then buy new bolts . and remember to torque all bolts as specified in the service manual .

about smog , i don't know !!
Good Luck . and try and " search" :p
