Any help with where this stuff connects? It's on the drivers side under the intake manifold.


I assume these go on one of the intake manifold bolts, but I don't wanna guess and eff something up.

The top gray plug is round in shape. The bottom one is a different plug.

1. ground wires for the ecu, ground them to the block, not the intake manifold.. manifold is aluminum and wont conduct as well.. if you need to, buy a grounding strap to lengthen it to make sure you can reach a good spot, like the motor mount bolts.

2. red plug is for the vsv under manifold, theres 2 of them. gray plug is for the knock sensors on the block.

3. that small plug is for the cruise control i believe.

4. the one with the round end is another ground wire. and the plug is for the starter.

Wait so the ground wires should go to the block? Not the intake manifold?

You said the plug in the 4th pic is for the starter. Does that actually connect TO the starter?

yes, that plug is TO the starter


and yes, to the block, you need a better ground than connecting to aluminum.

look at the top picture on that page. you can see the plug coming in from the left going into the bottom let corner of the starter, up against the block.
